Highland Games: Be Scottish, if only for the weekend. The 2013 Smoky Mountain Highland Games are this weekend on the campus of Maryville College. Gates open at 8:30 a.m. today. The event includes athletic competitions in such events as tossing the caber or haggis, lots of music and activities for tartan-clad children. A worship service scheduled for 9:30 a.m. includes a parade of the attending Scottish clans. Admission to the event is $13 today for adults. Tickets for students age 15-24 are $10; $5 daily for children ages 5 to 14. Children younger than 5 get in free.
